Year 7: Dunkeld Outdoor Education Centre

Every Year 7 Pastoral Care Group takes part in a 3-day camp at the school’s Dunkeld Camp, located in the Grampians.  It is a great opportunity for students to strengthen relationships within their Pastoral Care Group and build confidence while having heaps of fun.

Year 8: Dunkeld Outdoor Education Centre

All Year 8 Pastoral Care Groups take part in a 4-day camp at the school’s Dunkeld Camp, located in the Grampians.  It is a great opportunity for students to strengthen relationships with their peers and build their confidence through a range of outdoor activites and team building exercises.

Year 9: Alpine Leadership Program

The Alpine Leadership Program at the School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development school specialising in leadership education for students in Year 9.  Students are able to take part in a full term of education in an outdoor learning environment.  The program runs during Term 2.

Year 9: Bogong Challenge Program

The Bogong Challenge Program is a one week camp for selected students which is held at the Bogong Outdoor Education Centre. It is situated near Mount Beauty; in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, North East Victoria.

The schools core purpose is to “educate for sustainable living”. Bogong Outdoor Education Centre campuses offer students a wide range of outdoor and environmental education programs.

Year 9 – 12: Cultural exchange to Miura, Japan

Students have an amazing opportunity to take part in a two week cultural exchange visiting Warrnambool’s sister city Miura, Japan.  The two week tour includes sightseeing, shopping, and staying with host families.

Year 9 – 10: City Camp

The City Camp is an experiential Camp to Melbourne. Students will not only be absorbed by the culture in our Capital city but they will experience some of the tourist highlights such as Iceskating, Eureka Tower and Melbourne Star. They will be accommodated in shared apartments where they will have to budget for and cook some of their own meals and prepare daily packed lunches. They will also be required to navigate the city via tram and foot to be at scheduled events on time.

 

Year 10: Snow Trip

Year 10 students are encouraged to take part in an exciting recreational visit to Mount Hotham and the surrounding ski fields around July/August each year.

Year 11: Rock 2 Reef

Taking a break in late term 3, Year 11 students have an opportunity to visit Central and North-Eastern Australia.  The Rock 2 Reef tour takes students from Uluru in the Northern Territory to the Great Barrier Reef on the east coast of Queensland.
