VCE-VM and VET

VCE Vocational Major (VM)

The VCE Vocational Major (VM) is a vocational and applied learning program within the VCE designed to be completed over a minimum of two years. The VCE VM will give students greater choice and flexibility to pursue their strengths and interests and develop the skills and capabilities needed to succeed in further education, work and life.

It prepares students to move into apprenticeships, traineeships, further education and training, university (via non-ATAR pathways) or directly into the workforce.

Brauer College offers an engaging VCE-VM Program utilising the College’s extensive community of businesses and professionals that rely on quality apprentices.

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Students who complete all or part of a nationally recognised qualification may receive credit towards satisfactory completion of their VCE and/or VCE-VM.  These may include enrolment in a VCAA-approved VCE VET program, or a school-based or part-time apprenticeship or traineeship.

Brauer College students can include VET within their senior secondary certificate (VCE or VCE-VM). Students undertake nationally recognised training in subjects at the College or national training packages from a variety of training providers.
